Online Grocery and Social Media Training

Eligibility criteria:

  • Senior (60 years old and above),
  • Status in Canada: Citizen, Permanent resident, Protected person.

Free tablet

Eligibility criteria:

  • Completed the online grocery and social media training,
  • Not in possession of a tablet, laptop, or desktop,
  • Proof of no or low income (OAS, letter from sponsor or community organization).

Food vouchers

Eligibility criteria:

  • Arrived in Canada during the pandemic (starting March 2020),
  • Status in Canada: Permanent resident, protected person,
  • Proof of no or low income (could not work due to the pandemic),
  • Not eligible for CERB or EI,
  • $50 voucher for families of 1 to 4 members (proof required: PR cards, COPR, Notice of
    decision),
  • $100 voucher for families 5 members and above (proof required: PR cards, COPR, Notice
    of decision).

Free Cell Phones and Plan

Eligibility criteria:

  • Arrived at Canada during the pandemic (starting March 2020),
  • Status in Canada: Permanent resident, protected person,
  • Proof of no or low income (could not work due to the pandemic),
  • Not eligible for CERB or EI,
  • One phone per family.

Mental Health Counselling

Eligibility criteria:

  • Senior (60 years old and above),
  • Status in Canada: Citizen, Permanent resident, Protected person,
  • Dealing with Covid-19-related mental difficulties.
